Viral picture of pensioner, 80, selling fire wood to pay off his dead wife’s medical bills sparks GoFundMe campaign

This article is about a man who sold wood on the streets in order to earn money for his wifes medical bills, she sadly died of cancer but the old man still needs money for funeral costs. Someone posted a picture of the man and it went viral so his family sent up a Go Fund Me page and people raised over $60,000. I think it's so cute how strangers wanted to help this man. It goes to show how a lot of good can also come from the media. However I do believe that if this had been a person of colour the article would be written quite differently, and wouldve went along the lines of how the man is begging and should be able to fend for himself. Some way or other the writer may have put the blame on him.
